Your Nutritionist, Annie

I’m a real person just like you.  I know that making changes to your diet and lifestyle is difficult – extremely difficult.  In fact, I struggle with my diet and exercise choices every day.  I’m not your stereotypical size 2 dietitian who is going to tell you that kale is delicious, gluten is the devil and that you should never enjoy a cookie again.

I am here to provide you with information that you can trust to help you meet your diet and lifestyle goals.

Client Success Stories

“Weight management had never been an issue when I was younger and more active. When I moved to Bend in 2014 my weight had crept up to almost 200 pounds. I wanted to be ‘Me’ again, healthy and active. I did not like the way I looked, my clothes didn’t fit and bending over to tie my shoes was challenging. My doctor recommended that I meet with Annie to help me lose weight. But the thought of going to a dietitian intimidated me. In my mind I was thinking that she’s probably skinny, clinical and matter of fact. I found Annie to be quite the opposite. Annie was so friendly and warm. She made me feel like l could share anything with her. With Annie’s help I have lost almost 45 pounds! I can wear my old clothes again, I feel healthy and happy and am very pleased with my results.”

“I have been under Annie Baumann’s direction as my nutritionist for five years to the present. I initially started seeing her for weight loss and to help me better control my diabetes. During this time, with her mentoring and encouragement, I have lost 55 pounds and am currently maintaining my goal weight. Not to mention that my diabetes is under excellent control as well. Under her care, I have dropped several sizes in clothing and was excited to give the larger sizes away. Annie has supplied me with helpful and practical information. She encourages questions and is happy to answer as many as I have. Annie also welcomes calls and/or texts if I have a question in between our appointments. This is something that I really appreciate. I continue to see Annie on a regular basis to help me stay on track. I recommend her confidently because I am proof that she is excellent at working with patients who have struggled with a lifetime of obesity. I know because I WAS one!”

“Over the years I’ve worked with many dietitians, but Annie Baumann is the best. In the past dietitians focused on food groups, number of servings, and portion sizes, but they didn’t focus on providing me with information that I wanted or provide strategies to address roadblocks. Previously, when I sought strategies for avoiding poor food choices when I’m stressed, they provided ideas that wouldn’t work. They suggested food I don’t like and wouldn’t eat.

In contrast, Annie Baumann actively listens. Her suggestions are based on my tastes and how I respond to situations. I don’t like to prep food or cook so she suggested a meal program that is healthy and doesn’t require anything of me except to stick the meal in the oven. She told me how many carbs/protein/fat/calories I need per meal. She gives clear information about confusing food labels. Annie helps me by breaking things into baby steps so eating healthy isn’t overwhelming or hard. When I want to go off the rails with my poor food choices during stressful situations, she provides me with a healthier, but still sweet or salty option.”
