Who I Am
What You Really Want to Know
I’m a real person just like you. I know that making changes to your diet and lifestyle is difficult – extremely difficult. In fact, I struggle with my diet and exercise choices every day. I’m not your stereotypical size 2 dietitian who is going to tell you that kale is delicious, carbs are the devil and that you should never enjoy a cookie again.
I am here to provide you with information that you can trust to help you meet your diet and lifestyle goals. Worried about being judged for not meeting your goals or not being perfect? Don't be! Because hey….I’m not perfect either.
What You Should Know
I graduated from Montana State University in 2002 and completed my Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Washington State University in 2004. I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and hold a Certificate of Training in Childhood, Adolescent, and Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
My specialties include weight management, diabetes education, and heart health. I enjoy building long-standing relationships with my patients and helping them navigate the challenges involved in making sustainable diet and lifestyle changes. I feel fortunate to run my own practice, which allows me to create the flexibility I need to balance my professional life with my family’s needs — while also making space to care for myself.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and our dog Odie – who often accompanies me to the office. I enjoy taking advantage of all that Central Oregon has to offer, including skiing, rafting, and hiking. When I am not outside, I enjoy relaxing in front of the TV, doing puzzles, and watching my kids participate in their activities.
